March 10th: the big opening of the Municipal Collection Center of Iasi (CMCI)
The Municipality of Iasi launches the first European level municipal waste collection center in Romania, a result of joint efforts by the City Hall of Iasi, SALUBRIS and ECOTIC. “My Clean Iasi” is the name of the launching campaign, meant to stimulate the people of Iasi to collect, recycle and thus contribute to the beauty of their town.
On March 10th 2016, the Municipal Collection Center of Iasi (CMCI) will be officially open, located on 26th Gradinari St. People can access it by car or by foot. It is the first municipal waste collection center in Romania that respects European standards and it was co-funded through Norway Grants.
We encourage you to collect your household waste and bring it to the Center. Plastic, cardboard, paper, glass, textiles, construction waste, WEEE, it can all be handed over to CMCI in order to be transformed in secondary raw material.
Between 10th – 31st of March (Mon-Sat 08:00 – 20:00), hand over at least one piece of waste and you can win an instant prize and a voucher for the raffle with 10 prizes, all electric equipment.
